Consumers Anonymous
A Spring Creek confluence community dedicated to the proposition that if we can change ourselves, we can change anything.
Our purpose is to promote innovative alternatives to the consumer habit and to offer mutual support and encouragement among people seeking better ways to live with the Earth.
For the Fall 2005 term, Consumers Anonymous will meet Wednesdays at 5:30 pm at
SunnySide Up CafÈ, 116 NW 3rd St., Downtown Corvallis.
Alternate Wednesdays are social nights, a creative time for having fun, building and strengthening community and friendships, abstaining from spending money, and avoiding automobile transport for events in/around Corvallis as much as possible. Suggestions from the group so far have been: group bike rides, potlucks, movie showings, attending free concerts and entertainment events, origami, philosophical discussions, and more. We'd love to hear your ideas for social nights!
There is a listserv for the group: Rethink. Sign up at http://lists.oregonstate.edu/mailman/listinfo/rethink.
